Is there still hope for America? Bestselling author Jonathan Cahn unveils uncertain future of America in latest book ‘The Return of the Gods’

‘The Return of the Gods’ had a five-week run on New York Times bestsellers list

NEW YORK  Is there hope for America? Many concerned citizens are witnessing the demise of the once shining city on a hill and questioning what is in store for the country. Christians and non-believers alike are looking for answers — but the answers may be more ancient than anyone anticipated.

New York Times bestselling author Jonathan Cahn has dedicated his life to uncovering ancient mysteries found in biblical texts, first with his critically acclaimed book “The Harbinger” and recently with his blockbuster feature film “The Harbingers of Things to Come.” Now, Cahn is back with his most cataclysmic work to date — “The Return of the Gods.” Since the book’s release, “The Return of the Gods hit No. 2 on the New York Times Bestsellers List  Cahn’s highest ranking ever — as well as No. 2 in the Hardcover Frontlist Nonfiction category on the Publishers Weekly bestsellers list, and No. 2 in nonfiction combined on the Wall Street Journal bestsellers list.

While Cahn is known for revealing the stunning mysteries, many from ancient times that lie behind the events of modern times, “The Return of the Gods” takes the revelations to an entirely new level and dimension. Cahn’s latest work explains why laws are encroaching upon Christianity, its worship, churches and ministries in America today — and in the days to come.

In the book, Cahn explains that the gods of old are back and wreaking havoc in modern America. “The gods now dwell among us,” Cahn writes. “They inhabit our institutions, walk the halls of our governments, cast votes in our legislatures, guide our corporations, gaze out from our skyscrapers, perform on our stages, and teach in our universities. They saturate our media, direct our news cycles, inspire our entertainments, and give voices to our songs. They incite new movements and ideologies and convert others to their ends. They instruct our children and initiate them into their ways. They incite the multitudes. They drive otherwise rational people into irrationality and some into frenzies, just as they had done in ancient times. They demand our worship, our veneration, our submission, and our sacrifices.”

However, there is hope, according to Cahn. “Their kingdom is false, their authority illegitimate, and their kingdom will end,” Cahn assures readers in the book. “Evil will give way to good, falsehood to truth, and the darkness to the breaking of dawn. The gods will fade into the brightness of His coming, the coming of Him who is the only Light — and who alone is God.”

Cahn delves into the rise and fall of these ancient deities, answering questions such as:

Who are the ancient gods? What are they? And is it possible that these beings, whose origins are from ancient times, are the unseen catalysts of modern culture?

Is it possible that these gods lie behind the most pivotal events, forces, and movements taking place in our nation and around the world at this very moment? Are the gods at this very moment transforming our culture, our children, our lives, and America itself?

What is the Dark Trinity? Is it possible that what we in the modern world take as nothing more than ancient mythology could actually possess a reality beyond our fathoming?

One reader commented about “The Return of the Gods,” “I got this book a few days ago and started reading immediately. I’ve had to stop numerous times and pray for our nation. Now I understand why Jeremiah was called the weeping prophet. I’m no prophet but I’m weeping for our nation. Read this book, get one for your friends and family. Then pray for our nation like you have never prayed before!”

The Return of the Gods” promises to take readers on a fascinating, unforgettable, and mind-blowing journey that will leave them stunned and with the ability to see the world as they never have before.

With the release of “The Harbinger II: The Return in September 2020, multitudes of new fans have embraced Jonathan Cahn’s compelling messages and prophecies, in addition to the millions that are already heeding the warnings and prophecies outlined in his previous books over the past decade.

The author has made multiple media appearances, including on CBN’s “700 Club,” TBN’s “Praise,” and “Family Talk” with Dr. James Dobson.

Cahn’s first book, “The Harbinger,” became an instant New York Times bestseller when it was published in 2012. His next four books were also New York Times bestsellers: “The Mystery of the Shemitah,” “The Book of Mysteries,” “The Paradigm,” and “The Oracle.” Along with Billy Graham, Cahn was named one of the top 40 spiritual leaders of the past 40 years who has radically impacted the world.

Called the prophetic voice of this generation, Cahn has spoken on Capitol Hill, at the United Nations, and to millions around the world. Cahn is known for opening the deep mysteries of Scripture and bringing forth messages of prophetic import. He leads Hope of the World ministry, an international outreach of teaching, evangelism, and compassion projects for the world’s neediest. He also leads the Jerusalem Center/Beth Israel, a worship center made up of Jews and Gentiles, and people of all backgrounds, outside New York City in Wayne, New Jersey. His ministry can be contacted at HopeoftheWorld.org and on his Facebook.
